Leumi is “Bank of the Year in Israel for 2007” according to the banking magazine “The Banker"

The international banking magazine "The Banker" from the Financial Times Group, has chosen Leumi as “Israel's 2007 Bank of the Year.”

The award ceremony for the 146 winning banks throughout the world was held in London on November 28. Mr. Mickey Friedman, Leumi Britain CEO received the prize on Leumi's behalf.

Leumi was chosen for having the highest earnings in the history of Israeli banking, for an impressive expansion of international operations, and for achievements in the capital markets.

The Bank of the Year award is considered one of the most prestigious prizes in the international banking world.

Leumi Group CEO, Ms. Galia Maor, said that our selection by “The Banker” as Israel’s 2007 Bank of the Year indicates the great trust that investors have in the bank and its strategy. Leumi enjoys a high regard in the international markets in view of its achievements over recent years.
