Clients often find documentary collections a useful middle ground between the greater security and fees associated with letters of credit and the lower cost but greater risk associated with open accounts.

Letters of Credit

Whether it's a stand-by letter of credit or a time letter that lets you sell your goods before paying the supplier, we issue and process them every day. From a deferred payment letter of credit for the importer of Belgian chocolate to a revolving letter of credit for the apparel firm buying Chinese silk on a regular basis, we're fast, accurate and knowledgeable. Transferable Letters of Credit, Sight Letters of Credit and "Red Clause" Letters of Credit are also obtainable.

We are one of the very few banks that combine import and export activity with clean collections, helpful to businesses that deal in less common forms of payment. From checks that cannot be readily deposited through the Federal Reserve system, to documents received from non-U.S. correspondents, to promissory notes, travelers checks and trade acceptances, our expeditious handling assures that funds are collected, processed and placed in customer accounts as quickly as possible.

Acceptance Financing

To assist with both import and export activity, we offer a variety of acceptance financing options. We provide bankers’ acceptance financing under a sight letter of credit or documentary collection, i.e., with or without a letter of credit. We also handle pre-export and pre-import acceptance financing, arrange pool financing against exports and offer financing against receivables as well.

Government Agency Financing

We can arrange long-term funding for exports through the U.S. Eximbank, the Israel Foreign Trade Risk Insurance Corporation (IFTRIC) and other entities.
